A Vision Beyond Solar and Wind
As part of my lifelong dedication to transformation—of self, society, and systems—I have proposed a PhD research project focused on the potential for magnetically driven turbine-generator systems to replace the steam turbines currently used in coal-fired power stations across Australia.
This research, rooted in both modern innovation and the unfinished legacy of Nikola Tesla, explores a bold vision: transforming existing fossil fuel infrastructure into clean-energy sites using rare-earth magnets and advanced coil systems—delivering reliable, 24/7 renewable electricity without reliance on sunlight or wind.
Working Models
Development of scale turbines with realistic torque loads

Why This Matters
-
17 coal power stations remain
-
14GW of capacity at risk by 2035
-
Infinity Sav MG10 proves viability
Australia currently operates 17 coal-fired power stations, with eight scheduled to close within the next decade—representing a loss of over 65% of our coal-based generation capacity (~14GW). Rather than abandoning these sites, we have an opportunity to repurpose them as clean magnetics-powered stations, preserving grid infrastructure while eliminating emissions.
This paradigm-shifting research draws from:
-
My early engineering work with Honeywell, Leeds & Northrup, and O’Donnell Griffin.
-
Inspiration from Nikola Tesla’s uncompleted work on rotating magnetic fields.
-
Emerging technologies such as the MG10 10kW magnetic generator developed by Infinity Sav.

Future Potential
Beyond large-scale power, magnetic turbine sets may offer:
-
Compact Local Energy Systems: Provide reliable power solutions for rural and Indigenous communities.
-
Micro-Grid Applications: Reduce the need for costly transmission lines.
-
Alternative to Traditional Renewables: Offer a viable, lower-footprint alternative to solar farms and wind turbines.
-
Exportable Innovation: Position Australia as a leader in clean energy solutions for developing countries facing pollution crises.
Call to Collaborators

Despite outreach to several universities and research bodies, this proposal has yet to secure academic or government funding. Senator Malcolm Roberts confirmed current federal energy research support is limited to solar and wind. I believe this signals the need for public awareness and community advocacy.
If you are a scientist, investor, policy maker, engineer, or visionary who believes the future deserves more than two options—let’s connect.
